When I was diagnosed I was told the 3 main ways to contract HIV are through unprotected SEX, DRUGS users sharing infected needles and infected blood from transfusions. All my blood samples taken at the hospital were labelled ‘Danger of Infection' and had a bio-hazard warning.

The Sex, Drugs and HIV album art was designed by Andy Mac, who incorporated the syringe into the logo. The front cover is a guitar plectrum, symbolizing rock n roll in the phrase ‘Sex, Drugs and Rock n Roll’ For me as a musician diagnosed with HIV, the term Sex Drugs and Rock n Roll took a twist into Sex Drugs and HIV.

The theme

SEX - to promote awareness for victims of rape who had contracted HIV through their ordeal.

DRUGS - to promote 'Release' a charity that gives legal advice, support and information on drugs.

HIV - to support AIDS & HIV charities.
